CTA Leadership Development System Course Award 

The ACS Committee on Technician Affairs invites chemical technicians and chemists to apply for an award that would cover the cost of taking an ACS Leadership Development System Course during the ACS National Meeting in New Orleans (March 18-22, 2018).

CTA/YCC Leadership Development Award

The American Chemical Society’s Committee on Technician Affairs (CTA) and Younger Chemists Committee (YCC)  sponsors 2 awards providing funding for ACS members who are less than 35 years of age to travel to and participate in the annual ACS Leadership Institute, which will be held January 27-29, 2017, at the Inter-Continental Hotel in Dallas, TX. 



National Chemical Technician Award

The National Chemical Technician Award honors excellence and professionalism among technicians, operators, analysts, and other applied chemical technology professionals.

ACS Chemical Technology Student Award

The ACS Chemistry-Based Technology Student Award recognizes chemistry-based technology students who exhibit outstanding academic performance. Administered by the ACS Committee on Technician Affairs, the award honors the hard work and accomplishments of students preparing to become applied chemical professionals.


Winners receive $1,000 and a plaque. The award is presented at a reception at the ACS Spring national meeting.
